Am I allowed to ask for a prayer for my mother?

My mother was turned down for surgery could prolong her life and give her much greater quality of life that’s left. Tomorrow we’re seeing a 2nd surgeon for his opinion. If it’s allowed I’d like everyone to please pray for Gittel Chana Bas Nacha. It means everything to us to have others praying too.
