A call to converts et al

Hello all!

I converted to Judaism in 2020. I was hoping to connect with any converts or others about potential isolation felt since October 7. I know my ‘struggle’ pales in comparison (obviously) to the hostages and citizens of Israel, but I’m feeling an isolation I am having a hard time with right now. I’m finding my parents who were very supportive at time of conversion, to have essentially fallen silent. They just don’t get it. And I understand their ignorance, and I suppose their indifference to a point but I keep thinking if I had a Jewish daughter and son-in-law, I would be vocal about my support for Jewish community. And this doesn’t even begin to mention my non-Jewish friends and their silence, or their flirting with antisemitism (whether they know it or not) on social media. Is anyone else going through this?
