23andMe

Hello All,

Has anyone one on here done their 23andMe? I’d love to hear your experiences, and if you learned anything new!

I’m an American Ashkenazi Jew and on my father’s side I am second generation from Russia. My mother’s side was the mystery, we knew that most if not all of it was Ashkenazi, but definitely weren’t entirely sure what countries. It turns out that we have some Sephardic ancestors on that side from Greece. I came back as 8% Sephardic, and 92% Ashkenazi. It definitely makes sense, since that side as well as myself have dark hair and olive skin.
