בתי אבון- what does this really mean?

We say בתי אבון to someone to indicate “enjoy your meal” or just “enjoy” before they eat. Why? We know that בית is house/home, and אבן is stone. The same consonants are in בתי אבון, but maybe it’s Aramaic or some extinct dialect of Biblical Hebrew? Maybe people 2000+ years ago honored others by saying something like “May you be (as strong as) a stone house”. Do you guys know anything about this? Any info is helpful. Thanks in advance.
